Award winning Writer/Producer commences New Screen Writing Course for Pulse College

Due to the phenomenal success of the film courses screenwriting module, Pulse are pleased to announce that a new Screen Writing Course has been developed with the leadership of award winning writer/ producer Farah Abushwesha.

With Farah’s guidance students will be provided with a supportive environment that will encourage natural writing talent to shine through. The Screen writers lab is a five day intensive course which has an interactive and proactive approach rather than focussing on theory. It is aimed at inspiring, nurturing and stimulating you to create your own ideas and develop skills as a screenwriter.

Farah Abushwesha is a writer producer and founding member of the BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing Forums which showcases new script writing talent at BAFTA, (past guests include Mike Newell, John Madden, and Richard Eyre). Her production work includes several high-profile, award winning short films, Late Bloomers with William Hurt and Isabella Rossellini, Micro Men, The Scouting Book for Boys (Winner @ London Film Festival), La Chinoise (Winner at Locarno), among many others.

“I’ve designed a hands-on course that gets you to write and to think in a filmic way. From Day One you will learn to verbalise what your gut is telling you, trusting your intuition and build up the confidence to know that all writing is, is moving the thoughts from your brain to your fingertips. It’s fun and far from highbrow. There is no mystery involved. On a personal note, I’m very excited to be back teaching this course again – I get a real buzz from seeing people becoming inspired and fired up about storytelling.”

On this intensive one-week workshop, we will give practical and creative exercises, personal feedback, film-making insight all intended to provide students with a better understanding on how to prepare and develop an idea into a script for the market, tap into funding and write your way into the film industry.
The Course will commence from May the 10th to the 14th
